On 31 May, 2017 ALLIANCE project’s representatives Prof. Irina Yatskiv (Jackiva) (coordinator) and Dr.sc.ing. Mihails Savrasovs participated in a seminar regarding TWINNING projects’ implementation and proposal preparation. The seminar took place in Riga, Latvia and was organized by the Riga Stradiņš University (RSU) and Transport and Telecommunication Institute (TTI).

On 25 – 26 May, 2017 the project coordinator of the ALLIANCE project Prof. Irina Yatskiv (Jackiva) took part in 20th International Conference TransBaltica 2017, Riga, Latvia. The aim of the conference was to unite decision-makers, industry representatives, public sectors and academia to discuss significant issues of the transportation in the Baltic Sea region.

On 16-18, May 2017 TTI’s young researcher Dr.sc.ing. Mihails Savrasovs, took part in Young Researchers Seminar 2017 organized by the ECTRI (European Conference of Transport Research Institutes), FEHRL (Forum of European National Highway Research Laboratories and FERSI (Forum of European Road Safety Research Institutes).

ALLIANCE project coordinator Prof. Irina Yatskiv (Transport and Telecommunication Institute, Riga, Latvia) participated in the 10th International Scientific Conference “Transbaltica 2017: Transportation Science and Technology”, which took place in Vilnius, Lithuania on 5-6 May, 2017.

The Otto von Guericke University’s Institute of Logistics and Material Handling Systems (ILM) will host the 10th International Logistics Doctoral Student Workshop on June 20, 2017 in Magdeburg, Germany. For the 10th anniversary, it is a very special pleasure to register a record number of submitted papers.

On 3 April, 2017, the Research Project Department of Transport and Telecommunication Institute (TTI) together with ALLIANCE project representatives carried out a targeted meeting with industry representatives in order to explore opportunities of potential financing from ERDF for realizing collaborative research.

On 22 March, 2017 Prof. Irina Yatskiv (Jackiva), Vice-rector of Transport and Telecommunication Institute and coordinator of ALLIANCE project moderated a round table formed by ALLIANCE’s stakeholders.

Transport and Telecommunication Institute (TTI), Traffic, Transportation and Logistics Laboratory of the University of Thessaly (TTLog) and Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation (IFF) organize the 1st ALLIANCE Summer School “Sustainable Transport Interchanges Program (STIP)” which will be held on 16-22 July, 2017, in Riga, Latvia.
