Meeting with industry representatives

On 3 April, 2017, the Research Project Department of Transport and Telecommunication Institute (TTI) together with ALLIANCE project representatives carried out a targeted meeting with industry representatives in order to explore opportunities of potential financing from ERDF for realizing collaborative research.

PhD themes and vacancies in the Transport and Telecommunication Institute

The ALLIANCE consortium would like to announce PhD themes and vacancies in the Transport and Telecommunication Institute. This is a good opportunity to make your PhD in the field of sustainable transport interchanges. Additionally, ALLIANCE project will provide a number of benefits for new coming PhD students, like free of charge participation in the ALLIANCE summer schools, grants for conferences and publications, double thesis supervision, participation in all ALLIANCE activities and training and more.

ALLIANCE presence at TRB2017

ALLIANCE Dissemination Managers, Prof. Eftihia Nathanail and Dr. Giannis Adamos (Traffic, Transportation and Logistics Laboratory – University of Thessaly, Greece) participated in the Transportation Research Board (TRB) 96th Annual Meeting, which was held in Washington D.C. in January 8-12, 2017.

Call for papers

The Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation IFF and the Otto von Guericke University’s Institute of Logistics and Material Handling Systems (ILM) will organize the 10th International Logistics Doctoral Student Workshop on June 20, 2017, during the 20th IFF Science Days in Magdeburg from June 20 to 22, 2017.

Workshop: “Social and physical safety of passengers on public transport and transport infrastructure”

On 14th December, 2016 Road Transport Administration Ltd., Latvia’s Employer’s Confederation, JSC Riga International Coach Terminal, LDZ Apsardze Ltd. and Transport and Telecommunication Institute (TTI) supported by the Riga City Council, organized the 2nd Workshop on “Social and physical safety of passengers on public transport and transport infrastructure”. The 1st workshop took place in TTI’s premises in June, 2014.
