On 22 March, 2017 Prof. Irina Yatskiv (Jackiva), Vice-rector of Transport and Telecommunication Institute and coordinator of ALLIANCE project moderated a round table formed by ALLIANCE’s stakeholders. Representatives of the public and private sector, academia and research entities of Latvia, such as, X InfoTech Ltd., KREISS Ltd., ATALANT-TEC Ltd., Riga International Airport, Employers’ Confederation of Latvia, and others discussed potential collaboration opportunities between industry and academia. In addition, questions and concerns regarding collaborative education and research were raised. Participants concluded to a number of opportunities for common work between academia and industry that would lead to improvement in terms of effectiveness and quality for such synergies.
